Attorney Gribouski Successful in OUI Trial in Springfield District Court
December 11, 2015 – Springfield District Court, Springfield, Massachusetts
Attorney James J. Gribouski’s client, a thirty-three year old Worcester, Massachusetts man, was involved in an accident on Route 291 in Springfield, Massachusetts. According to a witness he left the scene of the accident, ran a red light and almost caused another accident. The police were called and observed that the client smelled of alcohol and he was arrested for OUI/DWI.
Attorney Gribouski recommended that the case proceed to trial. At trial he was able to demonstrate through cross-examination that the witness was not credible. Additionally, he was able to demonstrate through the cross-examination of the police officer that there were no other indicia of intoxication such as slurred speech or lack of balance. He then argued to the jury that the Commonwealth had not met its burden of proof beyond a reasonable doubt. The jury agreed and found Attorney Gribouski’s client not guilty in less than thirty minutes.
