Attorney James J. Gribouski Successful in Motion to Suppress Evidence at Trial
October 15, 2015 – Central District Court of Worcester, Worcester, Massachusetts
Attorney James J. Gribouski‘s client, a sixty year old Worcester, Massachusetts man, was stopped by the Worcester Police for a traffic violation. The officers believed that the client was exceedingly nervous and asked if he had any drugs in the car. The client produced two bags of marijuana which totaled approximately an ounce. He was then ordered to exit his motor vehicle and the motor vehicle was searched. A substantial amount of cash and cocaine was then found.
Attorney Gribouski filed a motion to suppress arguing that the police did not have specific and articulable facts to order his client from the vehicle and that any search subsequent thereto was illegal. The judge agreed and allowed the motion excluding all of the evidence from trial.
